In 2007 Communitas Foundation granted a support for the second stage called School of Arts of the Association for Religious and Social Support of the Prisoners (ARSSP) programme Seminary for children of imprisoned parents. The project aimed at helping the overall development and spiritual strengthening of the children with imprisoned parents, at working over their creative skills, and aiding in the best possible way their social integration.
The children of prisoners grow up in a complicated and full of hardships environment. Often such families fall apart. Some children of prisoners are institutionalised, and they gradually lose the connection with their parents. The felony committed by one of the parents falls upon the entire family, and the burden over the children is with most durable consequences, very hard to recuperate from. The institutional support is insuffiecient, and in general the society tranfers the parents' sin over their children. The project involved 40 children and incorporated an applied arts workshop, a course in religion, and a spoken English course.
