Abstract
The authors investigate the occupational allergic rhinitis (OAR) in the concept of the WHO/2004 initiative (ARIA – Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma), characterizing the allergic rhinitis as part of the united airways allergic disease. It has been found that in 82 (31.5%) of 260 diagnosed cases with occupational bronchial asthma it coexists with allergic rhinitis, while in 9 (3.5%) – with allergic conjunctivitis. An analysis has been made of the clinical form and course of the disease and its immuno-allergological characteristics. On the basis of clinico-radiological and allergological features, the main aspects of their etiological diagnosis have been defined, and may serve as diagnostic and occupational medicine guidelines in the field of the occupational allergic rhinitis.
