Abstract
Fistulizing Crohn‘s disease is associated with high morbidity and worsened quality of life. It is resistant to conservative treatment, while the surgery is often followed by local recurrence and fistulization in other areas. For a period of 19 years (1990-2009 years), we found fistulization in 37 (26.81%) from the observed 138 patients with Crohn‘s disease in the Clinic of Gastroenterology (CGE) of UMHAT Ts. Yoanna. Fistulas were enteroenteral in 25 patients (18.11%), perianal – in 16 (11.59%), enterocutaneus - in 7 (5.07%), rectovaginal – in 7 (5.07%), and enterovesical – in 1 (0.72%).
